PROJECT SUMMARY
I helped expand Homart's user base in emerging real estate markets across Africa and Europe by spearheading a comprehensive design overhaul. The team and I accomplished this by implementing user-friendly features, enhancing security protocols, and tailoring the platform to meet the specific needs of each region. We streamlined navigation, made interactive elements more intuitive, and introduced multi-language support to accommodate a diverse audience.
These improvements positioned Homart as a trusted platform for discovering and trading real estate, significantly boosting user engagement and satisfaction in new markets.

A comprehensive design overhaul, featuring enhanced security measures, intuitive navigation, and multi-language support, helped expand Homart’s user base across Africa and Europe. This redesign significantly increased user engagement and satisfaction, establishing Homart as a trusted platform for real estate transactions. As a result, user adoption rates in these regions surged, driving overall growth and strengthening market presence.
USERS AND NEED
Homart’s target users were individuals in Africa and Europe looking for a secure and user-friendly real estate platform. These users found existing property platforms overly complex and hard to navigate, resulting in low adoption rates. Our research showed that they prioritized intuitive design and strong security features.
We also identified that regional differences in language and user experience expectations were significant barriers. Simplifying the interface, strengthening security, and introducing multi-language support were essential in addressing these needs, which greatly enhanced Homart’s market presence and user satisfaction.

STARTING THOUGHTS
Our Product Owners identified a prime opportunity to rapidly scale Homart's presence in Africa and Europe. We were tasked with achieving measurable improvements in user engagement and satisfaction within six months.
Teasing Expansion and UI Revamp In the fourth quarter of 2022, we prioritized redesigning Homart's website to build anticipation for the upcoming expansion. At the same time, we revamped the UI to deliver a unified experience across the platform. This involved introducing a fresh brand language and applying it consistently across all digital interfaces.

We also revamped the UI to create a unified experience across the platform. As part of this effort, we introduced a new brand language and ensured its consistent application across all digital channels.
We rolled out updates to TestFlight for mobile and staging sites on the web, enabling users to test the platform and provide valuable feedback.
Whenever new assets were required for the website, web app, or mobile app, we collaborated closely with the brand team to fulfill these requests.
